| Volunteers
aid in campus recovery efforts
 |
| The
volunteer coordinating team did an outstanding job of
organizing clean-up and recovery efforts on campus. The
team is made up of faculty and staff from William Jewell
College. |
When disaster
strikes, one of the blessings that follows is the number of
people who surface to offer assistance.
But without proper
coordination, such efforts can quickly become disjointed and
unwieldy.
In the
aftermath of the May 4 storm, community members came forward
to offer assistance in a variety of areas. Thanks to the efforts
of Jewell alumna and trustee Linda French, those offers were
folded into a crisis response plan that matched needs with
assistance. -more-
