Eddie Hornback begins his 12th year at William Jewell College and his sixth year as head softball coach. Hornback has served as offensive coordinator for the football team and head golf coach before taking over the softball program. Last year Coach Eddie became the first softball coach in William Jewell history to record 100 wins in a career. Eddie serves on the board of the National Softball Coaches Association as the NAIA group representative, and he has been a region rater for the NAIA Midwest region since 2000. He was awarded Who’s Who Among American Teachers in 2000. In 1999 he was voted Heart of America Conference coach of the year.
Eddie received his Masters degree in sports science from the United States Sports Academy where he was a student ambassador; Deans list member, and awarded Who’s Who among students in American Universities & Colleges. Eddie is single and originally from Ocean Springs, MS.
