 Jill Cress
Head Women's Basketball Coach
Jill Cress begins her sixth year as the head coach of the women's basketball program at William Jewell College. Jill's record at Jewell is 81-73. Before coming to Jewell, Jill was the Interim Head Women's Basketball Coach at Ottawa University. Her record while at Ottawa was 17-11. Before taking the Ottawa position, Jill was the assistant women's basketball coach under Coach Debbie Carrier for two and half years.
Cress is a native of Vinton, Iowa, and is a 1993 graduate of Northwestern College, Orange City, Iowa. There she received a B.A. in Education along with a reading approval and coaching endorsement. Jill completed her master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction of Physical Education at UMKC.
Cress and her husband Rex with their two children Addisyn and Tyson reside in Blue Springs, MO.
Assistant Coaches
 Larry Williams
Larry is starting his third year at William Jewell College. He is a 1969 graduate of Central Missouri State University where he earned All-Conference honors and served as Team Captain. Williams has coached at Dixon, Moberly, Wellsville, Montgomery City, and most recently Blue Springs, MO. He has compiled a 268-164 coaching record over 16 years. Larry is responsible for assisting with all phases of the varsity program and is in charge of the weightlifting program. Currently, Larry teaches physical education and health at Blue Springs High School. Larry and his wife Patty have two daughters, Lindsay of Jefferson City and Morgan a junior women's basketball player at William Jewell College.
