Quote of the week:
“Vamos……Si!” – Matt Fine

Tip of the week:
Being comfortable on the court is vital. Wearing the proper gear (shoes, shirt, socks, shorts, wristbands) and having the proper equipment (grips, string, water jugs, towel) is essential to winning.

Also, it is important to be relaxed on the court. The player who is more focused and concentrates harder has a huge advantage. The mental aspect of the game is just as important as the physical aspect.

Countdown to Next match:
Men and Women – 1 day – the men and women will play at Benedictine College on Tuesday, in Atchison, KS. It is the last match of the regular season. The women will get on the court a little earlier (now approx. 1pm) than originally planned due to class schedules and meetings and the men will follow after that (now approx. 4pm). In case of rain, the two teams will probably play in St. Joseph, MO in the indoor courts there. We do not know the schedule yet for the Region V tournament on Friday and Saturday (in St. Joseph, MO). We will find out at the meeting on Thursday night. If you have questions, please call my cell phone at 913-226-6024.

DIRECTIONS TO BENEDICTINE:
Take I-29 north from I-435 past Platte City.
The Atchison exit is the third Platte City exit (I think it is Exit 20)
You can't miss it because the exit sign says "Atchison"
Go left at the exit onto Highway 273.
After about 1/4 mile, Highway 273 turns to the right toward Weston, Missouri.
After the right turn, you will be on Highway 273 for about 4 miles until coming to a stop sign.
Turn right at the stop sign. You are now on Highway 45 heading north.
Take Highway 45 about 20 miles.
You will come to an intersection where Highway 45 turns left (west).
Take this turn.
You will travel another 3 miles and reach a bridge over the Missouri River.
Go over the bridge and you are in Atchison, KS.
At the end of the bridge is a stop light. Turn right at the light.
Go across the RR tracks and turn right at the first light (Main Street).
Go to the end of Main Street (2 blocks) and turn left.
You are now on 2nd Street.
Go up the hill on 2nd Street about 1 mile and you will see the campus on your right.
Pull into the campus entrance.
You will pass two 4-story buildings (dorms). Turn left when you pass the 2nd building.
Go back to the parking lot on your left. The tennis courts are above the parking lot.
