9-10-04 CMSU Invitational
The William Jewell College cross country teams ran their 2nd race of the season Friday, Sept 10 at Central Missouri State University. The women ran 2.5 miles and the men 4 miles against many NCAA Division II teams and NAIA teams. The teams did well and are slowly building for the tough season ahead. The very young women's team placed 8th out of 14 teams (5th NAIA team), with the top five runners being: Lindsey Beckwith (Fr.) - 37th, Monica Silvey (So.) - 41st,Alex Braden (Fr.) - 42nd, Sarah Rahal (Fr.) - 44th, and Sara White (Fr.) - 47th
The men' team placed 6th out of 14 teams (3rd NAIA team), with the top runners being: Ray Taylor (SR. ) - 20th,Patrick Hanson (So.) - nd,Chris Wesloh (Sr.) - 33rd, Greg Ziegler (Sr.) - 42nd,Andy Wommack (Jr.) - 44th, Louis Guzman (So.)- 45th.
