Combined Teams: Cardinal Cross Country

2003 Season Outlook
The 2002 men's team placed 20th at last year’s NAIA National Cross Country Championship. Leading the team this year is All-American Ray Taylor, junior from Northeast High School. The team should be stronger this year with three seniors: Chad Brocato, Eric Bunch and Joe Reese; and three juniors: Greg Ziegler, Chris Weseloh and Ray Taylor. We have two freshmen, Patrick Hanson and Chris Medley, who should complement our upper classmen. We are looking to have a very successful year and hopefully bring home a HAAC Conference Championship and a Region V Championship.

The women's team is being led by senior Laura Kennedy and Jill Bourland. Both have been cross country national qualifiers. Sophomore Courtney Christopher should be a much improved runner from a year ago and we are looking for her to step up and compete at the national level. Incoming first-years Sarah Tell and Rachel Sheffield should contribute to the success of this year’s cross country team.
