What is the General Education curriculum?
The general education curriculum offers students a learning experience that builds through three stages (levels): an introductory/skills level (Level I), an intermediate interdisciplinary level (Level II) and an advanced capstone level (Level III). The following provides more information about the requirements at each stage of the program:


Level I: First year & sophomore   18 hrs
  The Responsible Self (common course) 4 hrs
  Oral Communication 4 hrs
  Written Communication 4 hrs
  Math Model Building and Statistics 4 hrs
  Fitness 2 hrs
Level II: Sophomore and junior Choice of 12 hours from 3 of 4 categories depending on major 12 hrs
  Science, Technology and the Human Experience 4 hrs
  Culture and Tradition 4 hrs
  Power and Justice in Society 4 hrs
  Sacred and Secular 4 hrs
  Foreign Language (BA students)
Level III (Senior) Capstone course   4 hrs
