| | Summary: | |
Assists the Annual Giving Team by providing the necessary administrative support, records management, project management, correspondence, and coordination of various activities. |
|
Duties and Responsibilities: |
|
- Provides administrative support for the Director of Annual Gifts and the Director of the Jewell Fund, including report preparation, telephone and mail correspondence, records management, and project management.
- Coordinates communications with donors providing updates on the status of their endowed gifts; coordinates necessary updates with faculty and staff on endowed gifts.
- Maintains and updates scholarship spreadsheets in coordination with the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship Services.
- Assists with general donor stewardship; generates stewardship letters for scholarship donors, coordinates with Major Gift Officers in preparing scholarship agreements, letters, and plaques. Coordinates special events with scholarship donors and student recipients.
- Provides support in drafting, editing, proofing, and distributing correspondence and direct mail pieces.
- Assists the Director of the Jewell Fund in coordinating phonathon events with student callers.
- Utilizes computer software applications necessary for generating reports, spreadsheets, mail merges, and charts.
- Attends and/or coordinates special seminars, committee meetings, recognition events, and special events as assigned.
- Assists with general office mailings, events, telephones, and other advancement office related activities as needed.
- Provides backup telephone coverage to the campus switchboard operator.

| | Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: |
|
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some completed college coursework desired.
- Three years office-related experience with advance knowledge of word processing and data entry necessary; preference given for proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and for The Raiser’s Edge fundraising database.
- Other requirements include: excellent oral/written communications and organizational skills and ability to handle diverse duties with minimal supervision.
